WAVELAND — George W. Hickman, 92, died at 1:55 p. m. Wednesday in St. Anthony Hospital at Terre Haute, where he lived at 3500 Wayne Ave. He was born Jan. 9, 1876 in Parke County, a son of Jackson and Sarah Taylor Hickman. He was married to Stella Becklehimer, who preceded him in death. Surviving are nieces and nephews: Mrs. Cora DeCamp of Brazil, Mrs. Alvie Thomas of Waveland, Mrs. Olive Douglas of New Market, Mrs. Lula Rush and Mrs. Jessie Gray of Indianapolis, Mrs. Minnie Laswell of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Mary Hugo of Chicago, Mrs. Ruby Clark of Highand, Calif., and Mrs. Olive Johns of Monon, Bill Wilson of Marshall, Bob Wilson of Hillsboro and Albert Hickman of Danville, Ill. Funeral services are at 10 a. m. Saturday at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland. Rev. Herbert Hugo of Chicago will be the minister and burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home after 6 p. m. Friday.
